The International Intellectual Property Training Institute (IIPTI, Dean: Man-Pio, Hong) of KIPO is hosting the 『2010 Korea Invention Contents Fair』 jointly with the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA). The fair will go on about 4 weeks long, from September 6 to October 15.
The Fair has been held since 2003 for nurturing national concern for IP e-learning, and for digging out invention oriented people. Just Korean has qualifications to take part in the fair.
The fair is divided into two sectors: 1) the invention education sector and 2) the invention culture creation sector. Instead of producing an invention, the participants simply need to submit their ideas or experiences related to invention and this simplified approach would attract more students to participate in this fair.
1) Invention education sector: cases or e-learning materials such as invention notes, newspapers, essays on using e-learning, etc
2) Invention culture creation sector: creative arts or literatures relating to the subject matter of invention, such as invention song, poster, research paper or e-learning contents
Including two Grand Prize winners (Awards from the Minister of Education, Science and Technology), who will receive KRW 2 million, 105 winners will receive prizes and a money, totaling KRW 16.8 million. Meanwhile, a director of a group participating most actively in the fair and getting more awards than any other groups would get a special leader prize for invention teaching and prize money of KRW 1 million.
