Together with KAIST and POSTECH, KIPO is selecting future creative entrepreneurs for 2011, which will create new-motive industries of the future based on IP. Future creative entrepreneurs are creative students filled with IP potential to become creative entrepreneurs like Bill Gates of MS or Sergey Brin & Larry Page of Google.

KAIST and POSTECH are planning to select 75 creative students all from the group of 7th to 10th graders. Then, the universities are going to provide them with educational courses (formal course: two years, selective course: one to three years). 

The selection process will take two steps. In the first step, both educational institutes will select 150 students (twice the capacity) through a document screening. Then, in the second step, the final selectees will be chosen through a camp evaluation, oral interviews or in-depth interviews. 

Each institute will accept applications between October 11 (Mon) to 24 (Sun). The announcement of the final selectees will be made on December 20 (Mon) through the website of the Future Creative Entrepreneurs (http://www.ip-gifted.org/eng/eng.asp).

Students who are selected as the future creative entrepreneurs will receive on/off-line education during their school semesters. During their vacation time, the students will receive group education. The students will cultivate talent through educational programs covering creativity, forecasting future technology, business ethics, humanities and so on. The students will also have opportunities such as having current entrepreneurs as their mentors, materializing their own ideas into reality, and more.  Individual and customized consulting will also be provided to meet the characteristic of each student. The consulting will cover management of personal history, psychological consultation, career counseling, and so on.
  
The programs provided to the students will help them develop the key factors of becoming global entrepreneurs, such as creativity, leadership and challenge. 

To raise the future creative entrepreneurs, KIPO signed an MOU with KAIST and POSTECH last year, establishing the global institute for gifted students in both universities. On December 2009, the first 181 students were selected as the future creative entrepreneurs and received related education.
